FREE WORKSHOP – MARKETING FOR CREATIVES + NETWORKING SESSION

Tuesday November 3rd 1.30-4.30pm Pocklington Arts Studio.

Followed by a Networking session 5.30-7.30pm Oak Room with free coffee & cake.

 

If you work in the creative arts and industries, or simply want to develop your digital marketing skills – this free workshop is for you. It is designed to give artists and creative practitioners skills and tools that you can begin using immediately.

 

The session will explore how to tell the story of your creative practice in a way that feels authentic, helping you to communicate the value of your work with confidence across digital platforms.

 

The workshop will cover:

 

-- Developing a clear and engaging creative story and personal brand.

-- Identifying audiences and understanding where they spend their time online.

-- Making the most of key digital platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, websites, email marketing etc.

-- Creating engaging content without feeling like you're constantly selling.

-- Practical tools that can save time and improve content creation, including Canva, scheduling platforms and analytics.

-- Building confidence in planning content and maintaining a consistent online presence.

 

The session will combine presentation, discussion, real-world examples and practical exercises, giving you the opportunity to reflect on your own creative business, develop ideas during the workshop and receive feedback in a supportive environment.

 

The workshop will be led by Rich Sutherland. Rich is a freelance copywriter, social media manager and PR Campaign Manager. He is the Director of Sobanapenguin and Editor of Hull Is This.

We’d love it if you could also come to the follow-on Networking Session upstairs in the Oak Room 5.30-7.30pm. You can meet other creatives, share experiences and insights and enjoy free tea, coffee and cake. The theatre bar is open if you wish to purchase drinks. If you are unable to attend the afternoon workshop but would like to come to the twilight networking session you can simply turn up a 5.30pm
